Elas has acquired Paiv, the AI software that turns roof inspections into insurance-ready claims. Starting today, Paiv’s inspection and field sales products are part of the Elas platform under a new name: Field Inspect by Elas.
Paiv was built around a simple idea. A rep talks through what they see, snaps photos on their phone, and the AI builds the damage report before they climb down. Field Inspect keeps that experience, and extends it to the inspections behind complex construction projects.
Why Paiv and Elas belong together
Elas was founded by a professional engineer out of special inspections and materials testing, and its affiliates have performed construction inspections since 1994. Its first product, Holdpoint, coordinates the special inspections and hold points that stand between a permit and a certificate of occupancy.
Paiv captures what happens in the field. Holdpoint coordinates who has to see it and sign off. Together, they point toward one continuous record, from the first site walk to final sign-off.

What’s changing
The name. Paiv’s inspection product is now Field Inspect, and its canvassing and pipeline tools are now Field Sales. Both live at fieldinspect.ai.
Where it’s used. Roofing remains at the heart of Field Inspect. The same talk, snap and report workflow is now being shaped for heavy construction, special inspections and other inspection-heavy projects.
What it connects to. Field Inspect works alongside Elas CRM and Holdpoint, so the inspection record can move to the people who act on it.
